Upcoming: China truce extended to 2027-01-10 (announced 2026-09-23, FR pending)
Treasury Secretary Bessent announced on 2026-09-23 (Fox News interview, during President Xi's Washington visit) a two-month extension of the Busan-agreement truce: the truce elements — the 24% reciprocal suspension, the fentanyl rate, the 178 China 301 exclusions and the port-fee suspension — now run to 2027-01-10 instead of 2026-11-10. Note: a cabinet-secretary statement so far (per Politico/Reuters/CNBC); the Federal Register implementation is pending — until then, entries keep their FR-confirmed dates. The Radar tracks follow-through.
